Projector Selector app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: Sonic Applications
First release : 18 Apr 2013
App size: 19.25 Mb
Projector Selector makes selecting the correct Panasonic projector for your room simple.
Allow filtering by Width/Height/Throw Distance and many other factors, and includes a rudimentary lux meter to get an estimate of ambient light.
Create a simple quote (no pricing) and email it to yourself, or simply email projector details.
The app is divided into four sections:
Projector Recommendation. Under section we can begin to recommend a projector (and associated lens if required) from the current range. Enter a screen size in diagonal or a width measurement, along with a throw distance and aspect ratio to get all projectors that fit this range.
We can then refine this to include only Wireless capable models, or select projectors by resolution. The real magic of this section is the built-in Lux Estimator. By pressing the camera icon in the top right-hand corner we can take an image of our projection screen, and it will estimate the ambient light at the screen, and adjust the required Lumens to factor this in. Of course this is just a guide, but we have found it to be very accurate.
Recommendations can then be added to a quote or emailed to yourself or someone else.
Projector Catalogue. This section displays all current projectors and lens options. Details on projectors can be had by touching a desired model, and from there we can add these to quotes, or email the details directly to ourselves or someone else.
Current Quotes. We can access all our current quotes, add or delete quotes with a touch and modify existing details. We can add and remove projector models from quotes, and email the resulting quote to ourselves or someone else.
Throw Distance Calculator. This packages the original Panasonic Throw Distance Calculator into the app for quick access. (requires internet/mobile data)
If you are unsure of the recommendation, always consult your dealer!
